Results
The goal of this project was to develop an array of activities that could reach youth statewide, particularly in the rural areas of South Carolina. One tool that helped them achieve this goal was the development of a free standing kiosk which allowed for the public service announcements (PSAs) created for the Campaign for Mental Health Recovery to be aired at various venues. SC SHARE staff used the kiosk to share the recovery message with the public. The kiosk was used in various public places such as office lobby areas, waiting rooms, conferences, presentations, and mental health trainings.

Another tool developed and made available by the project was a booklet of mental health consumer stories. The booklet, Recovery for Life includes stories of recovery from several individuals who encountered a variety of situations which could have deterred their recovery.

Additionally, SC SHARE delivered a message of hope by enlisting the help of a young adult spokesperson, Lloyd Hale, who shared his story of recovery with audiences in South Carolina. Lloyd continues to work closely with the CMHR and has been invited to present his personal story in a CMHR Webcast that will be made available in the upcoming months.
